Telefónica Tech has partnered with Thales to introduce a new global eSIM solution designed to simplify Internet of Things (IoT) connectivity for businesses operating across multiple countries. Built on the GSMA SGP.32 standard, the platform allows organizations to use a single eSIM capable of supporting multiple mobile operator profiles, making it easier to deploy and manage connected devices worldwide.

The new solution integrates directly with Telefónica Tech's Kite IoT connectivity platform, giving enterprises a centralized interface to activate, switch, and manage operator profiles without requiring separate integrations for each network provider. Businesses can quickly change connectivity providers based on coverage, regulatory requirements, or operational needs while maintaining visibility across all connected devices.

By supporting multiple operators through a single eSIM, the platform aims to reduce deployment complexity for international IoT projects. Companies deploying connected devices across different regions can avoid replacing physical SIM cards or performing time-consuming manual configuration, helping accelerate rollouts while lowering operational costs.

Thales contributes its expertise in secure eSIM technology and remote profile management, while Telefónica Tech provides orchestration capabilities through its Kite platform. Together, the companies aim to deliver a more flexible and scalable connectivity solution for industries such as manufacturing, logistics, automotive, utilities, and smart infrastructure that rely on large-scale IoT deployments.

The companies said the new platform strengthens support for multi-operator environments and prepares businesses for the next generation of connected devices. As global IoT deployments continue to expand, the partnership is expected to help enterprises simplify connectivity management while improving reliability, security, and operational efficiency across international markets.
