One of the biggest highlights from the event was the transformation of Google Search. The company introduced a redesigned AI-powered Search experience that aims to understand user intent more naturally.
The updated Search box can now accept different types of input including text, images, videos, files, and even Chrome tabs. Google says the new system goes beyond traditional autocomplete and helps users ask more refined questions.
AI Mode is also becoming more integrated into everyday Search. Users can now continue conversations directly from AI Overviews and ask follow-up questions without starting a new search.
Google also confirmed that AI Mode is now powered by Gemini 3.5 Flash by default.
Personal Intelligence Expands Globally
Google is expanding its “Personal Intelligence” feature, which allows Gemini to access services like Gmail and Google Photos for more personalized responses.
The company says the feature is now rolling out in 98 languages and nearly 200 countries. Google Calendar integration is expected to arrive later.
The idea behind the feature is to let Gemini understand a user’s context better by using information from connected apps and services.
AI Agents Are Coming to Search
Google also introduced new AI agents designed to work in the background and monitor information across the web.
These agents can reportedly track updates related to topics like sports, finance, shopping, real estate listings, blogs, and news websites. Users will receive summaries and actionable insights based on their interests.
Another upcoming feature will allow Search to handle bookings automatically. Google demonstrated examples where Search could find available karaoke rooms, compare prices, and even contact local businesses on behalf of users.
These agentic features are expected to launch in the US later this year.
Google Introduces “Antigravity” for Generative UI
Google announced that its Antigravity technology is being integrated into Search.
The feature allows users to generate custom interfaces, visualizations, dashboards, graphs, trackers, and simulations using AI prompts. Google says users can create mini apps for tasks like fitness tracking or wedding planning without coding knowledge.

Creators will have the option to disable AI remixing for their Shorts.
